FRANCHISE LOGO
The Call of Duty wordmark is the singular pillar to our brand system. It unites and supports all of our titles and IP and should be present across all comms at every level.
Our franchise logo is a thoughtful evolution of its predecessor. Inspired by aircraft numbering and utilitarian type, our logo is a throwback to our military roots. Comprised of simple, impactful forms, it is our brand signature. The opposite of camouflage, it is instantly recognizable and legible at all sizes and in complex renderings.
THE LOGO
Identifiable by its beveled corners, unified widths, and squared-off stems, our logo is a hyper-legible, graphic cornerstone to our brand. It sets the foundation for our custom typeface and thus, all communications we produce.
MISUSE
- Don’t adjust the alignment of “OF” within the COD logo.
- Don’t stretch the COD logo.
- Don’t track out or adjust the kerning of the COD logo.
- Don’t readjust the sizing of any parts of the COD logo.
- Don’t make any customizations to the COD logo.
- Don’t crop any part of the COD logo.
COLOR USE
Our franchise logo should only be used in black or white.
COLOR MISUSE
- Don’t fill the logo with textural color.
- Don’t use any colors other than black and white.
- Don’t use multiple colors within the COD logo.
- Don’t apply a stroke to the COD logo.
- Don’t apply a gradient to the COD logo.
- Don’t utilize our logo on a background with insufficient contrast.
SIZING
Our minimum logo size to maintain legibility is 30px tall. This is to accommodate smaller digital banner ad sizes. For good measure, our logo should almost never appear smaller than it does on our website homepage.
REGISTERED MARK
Our registered trademark symbol should almost always be present in use. It is slightly taller than the height of the wordmark legs, always on the bottom right of the franchise logo, and slightly inset from the outer edge of the ‘Y’. The use of the registration mark is a requirement across most communications. Do not alter or omit its usage without express permission. In instances where the size of the logo renders the registered mark illegible, please adjust the size of the mark up to the minimum required for clear readability.
REGISTERED MARK MISUSE
- Don’t remove the symbol without express permission.
- Don’t resize the symbol unless required for legibility.
- Don’t alter the contents of the registered mark or replace it with the trademark mark.
- Don’t reposition the registered mark.
- Don’t rotate the registered mark.
- Don’t invert the registered mark.
